This has been a problem of mine throughout many different versions of Windows and different network hardware configurations, but always seems to pop up sooner or later. I'm not entirely sure how to describe the issue, so I recorded a video of it and uploaded it to YouTube.
Reproduction Steps:
Attempt to open one of the folders. After a long pause, Windows throws error 0x0800704cf (location cannot be reached) and refuses to work with that computer from that point on, until you go back to the "Network" folder and refresh it.
From then on, everything works correctly for an indeterminate amount of time. The two computers (TITAN & EUROPA) are both running Windows 10, and are connected to the same switch; a basic unmanaged 1GBit. The internet gateway router is connected to this switch as well.
Any ideas how I can properly diagnose or even resolve this? It's been a long-standing thorn in my side!
Many thanks,
Craig J.
