"The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors"

0

I have been trying to fix my computer for a while now, but I haven't been successful. I think I've tried all the options offered on the internet, and I haven't been able to fix my computer. I have an HP ENVY m6 Notebook PC with Windows 8 (64 bit).

I think it has something to do with the HDD not working or being damaged. However, I've been taking care of my computer ever since I got so I'm hopeful that is not a hardware issue.

I tried the following: Recovery Disk, resetting, refreshing, command prompt, bcdedit, diskpart, bcdrec, etc. I booted my computer with Ubuntu and used GParted, and I can see that some of the partitions are not labeled. I think my C: drive is missing or something. How can I fix this?

This is what comes up when starting the computer:

File: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc0000001
Info: The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors.
