Camera Reserved By Another Application 0xA00F4243(0xC00D3704)

I have been struggling with this issue for a week now and I cannot find the solution, I have went through many video's, guides, tutorials and even a clean windows install and at this point I finally decided to reach out to you guys!

So my scenario; I recently purchased the (Trust Tyro) webcam for professional and personal use. I have a setup with a powered USB hub which is connected to a usb-switch to change my workflow with the click of a button (From personal computer to work laptop). When trying to use my webcam through the usb hub (which is powered by a 5v adapter) it shows the message 0xA00F4243(0xC00D3704) "ReservedByAnotherApplication".

The "funny" thing is that when I'm using the exact same setup on my work-laptop it works perfectly fine, no issues, no errors... The webcam shows up under "device manager" and is also detected by various apps, Obs, Streamlabs, Discord, Device Manager etc but it prompts me with a black screen.

When plugging the USB directly into the PC it works just fine, but remember, the USB-Hub setup works on my work laptop. Both my work, and personal computers run the latest version of windows 10 and are linked to the USB hub with a usb3.0 connection. Does anyone of you have any Idea what i can do to resolve this, I'm quite desperate... :(

What I have tried:

  • Device Manger > Camera > Uninstall & update
  • Every other step listed on the internet...
  • Clean Windows install (10 minutes ago) (I have a basic degree in networking and work as a fulltime software developer, don't be shy to get technical with me)
