Database Symmetric mysteriously dropping from database

Hi have a problem with SQL Symmetrics keys getting mysteriously dropped from my database.

Event viewer shows The Desktop Window Manager has exited with code (0xd00002fe) the exact time the keys are dropped.

Please assist.
