Bugcheck 0x000000d1 after upgrading to ESXi 6.5.0 update 3

Yesterday we have upgraded our ESXi host to 6.5.0 update 3. (from 6.5U1). Since then one of our domain controllers running windows server 2016 is randomly rebooting with bugcheck 0x000000d1 (0x0000000000000028, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff80994969e23).

Bugcheck analysis points to USBXHCI.SYS.

I think we may have to update a driver for our server to be compatible with ESXi 6.5U3. The server is an HPE Proliant ML350 Gen9.

We have no current support contract with HPE. So before we look into that, can anyone confirm if installing a service pack like this will resolve this issue? Or is there a better solution?
