I added 5 drives to mdadm raid array, then I noticed 3 had partitions on them already. What is going to happen?

I have a 15 drive raid6 array using MDADM on ubuntu linux 18.04.2 server. I installed 5 more drives and added them to the raid array, and it started reshaping. However, after that I noticed that three of the drives had windows partitions on them. Did I screw it up? What is going to happen in the next 30 hours of rebuild time?

Here is what it looks like:

/dev/sdr, /dev/sdt, and /dev/sdu have other partitions on them. When I check them with fdisk, it looks like this:

sudo fdisk -l /dev/sdr
Disk /dev/sdr: 1.8 TiB, 2000398934016 bytes, 3907029168 sectors

rebuild time is still going to take a while:

cat /proc/mdstat

      bitmap: 1/15 pages [4KB], 65536KB chunk

unused devices: <none>

Two exFAT partitions on those drives! Is my data going to be corrupted? Am I going to have to remove drives one at a time and rebuild after each one?

I should have formatted them first.

Those Windows partitions will go away.

That said, IMHO your setup is not great on 2 accounts -

You really should use partitions (marked as FD) rather then raw drives for software RAID, and your RAID 6 volume is to large to provide a high degree of protection due to the number of drives and higher-then-you-probably-think likelyhood of more then 2 drives failing during a rebuild. I would be looking at RAID 10, or better ZFS or multiple RAID 1 sets and possibly LVM to lessen the risks.
