Can't boot from Windows 8.1 installer USB

0

I created a bootable flash drive for Windows 8.1, so that I can upgrade my computer from Windows 7, but when I try to boot from the flash drive on my computer, it goes to the Windows Boot Manager telling me that Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. Then it shows me this:

Windows Boot Manager

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:   1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.   2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."   3. Click "repair your computer." If you don't have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.   File: \Boot\BCD   Status: 0xc00000e9   Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred.

I've tried the other USB ports on my computer and it still doesn't work. I also tried booting on the flash drive using my laptop, and it works fine. I can boot from the flash drive using my laptop just fine.

I configured the flash drive from the bios on my computer to see if it shows on the storage menu, and it does. If anyone knows how to fix, I'd greatly appreciate it.
