I have a brand new windows 10 pro machine from dell, I am trying to add it to a network of mostly windows 7 machines (about 6 machines in total).
If I do the very minimum, and enable network sharing, then I can see maybe half the computers on the network. But I cannot interact with them. Pinging on cmd works, but browsing their ip on cmd does not, or through file explorer.
I've tried numerous things, I'm not a complete pc idiot, but I'm way out of my depth here. I've made sure that smb v1.0 is enabled too.
edit: All i'm getting, when trying to access the computer icons in file explorer is this:
"Windows cannot access \PCNAME Check the spelling of the name, Otherwise.. etc"
Error code: 0x80070035
EDIT 2
I have done everything on this page: http://woshub.com/error-code-0x80070035-network-path-not-found-windows-10/ and I'm still getting the exact same results.
This machine doesn't even NEED to be windows 10, it's just that this machine had windows 10 on it in the shop (Dell).
I even tried to create a partition on this machine, and set up a bootable usb drive and then tHAT was giving me problems by not finding the keyboard and mouse, so I kind of feel like I have a dud machine.
