Windows fails to load with "A required device isn't connected or cant be accessed" error (0xc000000e) after recent formatting

-1

I recently formatted my ASUS E402S laptop with latest version of Windows 10. In this process I moved the windows partition from the 32GB EMMC memory to newly added HDD in the laptop.

The laptop seems to have UEFI boot enabled and also has an EFI partition. Now, after formatting, whenever I turn ON the system or restart the system I receive an error screen with error code 0xc000000e saying "A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed." Please see image for full error

Error screen

Now in this screen when I press ESC and go to BIOS, do nothing but just exit the bios then windows starts loading.

Then I get 2 options,

  1. Load windows from Volume 2
  2. Load windows from Volume 6

Windows successfully loads from volume 2 where I have the newly formatted windows OS. But again when I restart or shutdown this whole thing repeats.

In Disk management I still see an EFI volume. Do I need to do something about it? Please see image for reference.

I referred questions related to similar errors but none seem to have been able to successfully load windows. In my case am able to. Also this has happened after the formatting.

Any help to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated.
