Intermittent SQL Server connection problem on Linux

0

I am hosting a .NET Core application in Linux (Ubuntu) with SQL Server. The application uses entity framework to read/write to the database hosted on the same server.

The connection string I am using is Server=localhost,1433;Database=mydb;User=sa;Password=XXXXX

I intermittently get the following error reported in the logs when adding a new record:

A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - Success)

Stack trace:

An exception occurred in the database while saving changes for context type 'API.Infrastructure.AppDbContext'.

I have seen similar questions on SO but they're mostly for old SQL Server versions and require SSMS.
