Error adding view. HRESULT: 0x80070057 (E_INVALIDARG)

Visual studio community 2019. When I try to create a view (asp.net mvc) I get an error: There was an error running the selected code generator: 'The parameter is incorrect.(Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070057 (E_INVALIDARG)). I have deleted tmp files, checked for updates with no luck. I do have some backups of my projects and when I load one from a few months ago I do not see this problem. Any ideas on how I can fix on my current project?
