Being an idiot (Microsoft policy is to assume all non-employees are idiots) I wonder what is meant by the term Web Installer. All I want to do is be sure my homegrown "app" (formerly known as a computer program) has the necessary runtime libraries so I will avoid 0x8007007E and similar "diagnostic" messages that falsely claim what the problem is. I assume Web Installer is just a computer program that downloads the .NET Framework from the mothership. Suppose I live up on a mountain and do not have Internet access. Does Microsoft provide an installer that does not require Internet access?
