iTunes 12.6 won't allow me to login within a VirtualBox VM running Windows 7 from my MBP running Mojave? Citing temporary error -50 and 0x80090302

I need to run iTunes 12.6 from a virtual machine for app management prior to iTunes 12.7+ removing the app management features.

I have a normal and functional virtual machine environment with Windows 7 operating system running from VirtualBox on my MBP with Mojave.

Everything is normal until I try to log into iTunes within the virtual machine, where it seems to recognize my credentials, even asking for 2FA, but then returning 1, 2, or both errors:

1: "There was a temporary problem completing your request. An unknown error occurred (0x80090302). Try again later."

2: "There was a temporary problem completing your request. An unknown error occurred (-50). Try again later."

I've tried using Windows 8.1, ensuring that the time zone information is correct within the virtual machine, ensuring that internet functionality is normal within the VM (the iTunes software loads current browsing data, it just won't let me log in), and used the diagnostic feature in iTunes to confirm all network connectivity tests pass. Unfortunately, I cannot update iTunes to a more recent version, but anything else is flexible.
