Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager "The VM session was aborted." result code NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) after enabling USB 2 or 3

I'm running Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager on an Linux Mint 19.2 Tessa PC Host. The Guest is the latest version of Windows 10.

By default USB 1.1 is selected, but the system doesn't pick up any USB devices at all. When I don't mean any, I refer to clicking on the USB icon in the bottom right. There is just nothing.

The moment I chose USB 2.0 EHCI or USB 3.0 xHCI Windows doesn't start up and VirtualBox crashes with the message below:

The VM session was aborted.
Result Code:  NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component:  SessionMachine
Interface:  ISession {c0447716-ff5a-4795-b57a-ecd5fffa18a4}

I googled a bit and installed VirtualBox 6.0.14 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack on the host PC as it has promising information about USB support:

Support for USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 devices, VirtualBox RDP, disk encryption,..."

On the guest I also installed VBoxWindowsAdditions to eliminate nasty guest issues.

This made no difference.

Is there possibly a more detailed log file somewhere?

How about all these "USB Filters" which doesn't appear to do anything?

Here is a screenshots about this journey so far:
