What causes Greenhills Multi memory write error?

I'm trying to flash a program onto a ARM CM0+ microcontroller using the Greenhills Multi IDE and the Greenhills Debug Probe. After establishing the connection to the target board the IDE fails to load the program to the Flash ROM returning the error:

What can I try to avoid this error?
