I have a HP Pavilion laptop and I replaced the hdd with a ssd. And after that I tried to install Windows 7 but it's not working. I get this following error 0x80070570. Can somebody help me? Any feedback will be apreciated. Thank you!
For starters, 0x80070570 means ERROR_FILE_CORRUPT.
I have a few things I could suggest.
I would like you to use the memory test feature as you might have bad RAM, this might explain it partially considering the windows installation is copied to a ramdisk when it gets booted from a DVD/USB.
Your SSD may not be supported by windows 7. While this is a rare occurrence it's completely possible. Since I don't know your specific SSD model, I would suggest googling it to make sure it is compatible. In extreme cases your SSD may even be defective.
You can try checking in your BIOS for a "compatibility mode" to force your computer to recognise the SATA drive as an IDE drive instead, which may or may not work.
If none of that works you could test installing another version of windows, such as Windows 10. I know that is beyond the original question but you can check to see if it will even install, which can help diagnose hardware related problems.
