SharePoint URI (Open with Explorer) won't open folders that have more than 2k items

For some reason under 2 libraries, any subfolder that contains more than 2k items, I cannot use the "Open with Explorer" option to view its files and copy it over. I'm running on Windows 7 and the error I'm getting is:

\domain\DavWWWRoot\path is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator for this server to find out if you have access permissions.

A device attached to the system is not functioning.

I've tried adding the SharePoint URL to Trusted Sites (closed browser and opened it) and modifying the Registry Key by adding "FileAttributesLimitInBytes" to the WebClient parameters (Stopping and Starting the WebClient also restarting my PC) but none of these have allowed me to view the files in explorer still.

When trying to map the URI to a network drive and opening the folders (anything greater than 2k files) I get this error:

Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve the network problems, click Diagnose.

Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found.

Any help on this would be great.
