Azure Backup: Engine encountered an unexpected error azure backup - while normal File Backup on Server 2019

0

We are facing the same error on two different Windows Server 2019 of two different customers with Azure Backup installed and only File Backup is made with it. The problem exists since at least two or three releases of Azure Backup Agent and both Servers still facing the problem on the last recent Version 2.0.9207.0 Sometimes the Backup runs successfull, but most time, it does not run successfull. We can not find out a difference between when it runs or it doesn't run successfull.

In the Application Eventlog I am getting this error (around 0.5-3 hours after the Backup starts):

Error 06.04.2021 22:45:42 Application Error 1000 (100)

and right after that Eventlog shows:

Information 06.04.2021 22:47:06 CBEngine 0 None
Service started successfully.

In the System Eventlog I see this error around 5-10 Minutes after Backup started:

Error 06.04.2021 22:06:42 Service Control Manager 7034 None

The Backup then starts a second time automatically, but same problem comes up again.

Further Information with similarity on both Servers:

  • there is Trendmicro Worry Free Services installed on both Customer Servers. But this is also installed on other Customer Servers where Azure Backup does not have this problem.
